Welcome to Creative Keto Living.

If you’ve felt overwhelmed by diet fads, confused by keto rules, or frustrated trying to stick to a healthy lifestyle—you’re not alone. We’ve been there too.

This blog is where we share what’s helped us stay on track, make keto doable, and turn fitness and healthy eating into a daily lifestyle—even while traveling, working, and living real life.

Here, you’ll find simple tips, real experiences, and tools that actually make things easier—not harder. Whether you're just starting keto or picking it back up again, we’re here to walk with you.

What You Can Expect From Us

We’re not experts—we’re explorers. Everything we share is grounded in what we’ve tried, tested, and actually lived through.

Here’s what we aim to do with every post we share:

  1. Share honest stories and real-life lessons from our journey.
Because the best advice comes from experience—not perfection.

  2. Point you toward helpful resources that move you forward.
Whether it’s a post, a product, or a mindset shift, we want to make the next step easier to see.

  3. Offer approachable recipes and workouts anyone can follow.
No complicated routines or chef-level prep—just things that fit into a real day.

  4. Break things down clearly so they actually make sense.
We’ll explain what worked for us (and what didn’t), in a way that’s easy to understand and try for yourself.

  5. Encourage you when things get tough—and they will.
Because the hardest part is sticking with it. And that’s where we want to help the most.

What This Blog Isn’t

We want you to know what we stand for—but it’s just as important to be clear about what we’re not.

  1. We’re not here to sell you things we don’t believe in.
If we recommend a product, it’s because we actually use it. No fluff, no pressure—just what’s helped us.

  2. We’re not about unrealistic advice.
You won’t find extreme routines or rigid plans here—just practical tips for real people with real lives.

  3. We’re not giving advice we haven’t followed ourselves.
Everything you read on this site is something we’ve lived through and worked through together.

  4. We’re not trying to reinvent keto—we’re helping you make it your own.
“Creative” means flexible. We’ll show you how to personalize keto so it actually sticks.

  5. We’re not pretending it’s always easy.
We’ve had setbacks and struggles too—and we’ll be honest about them. That way, you know what to expect and how to move through it.

  6. We’re not a big health company.
We’re just two people who care about health, consistency, and helping others avoid the traps we fell into early on.

What Is Keto and How Does It Work?

At its core, the ketogenic (“keto”) diet is a way of eating that’s low in carbs, moderate in protein, and high in healthy fats. When you reduce your carb intake low enough, your body switches from using sugar (glucose) for energy to using fat instead. That process is called ketosis.

Think of it like flipping a switch in your metabolism—from sugar-burning mode to fat-burning mode.

The goal?
To train your body to burn fat more efficiently—for energy, for focus, and yes, for fat loss.

But keto isn’t just a “no carb” diet. It’s a shift in how your body functions. And while it can feel confusing at first, it gets easier once you understand the basics—and that's exactly why we created this blog.

We’re here to help you simplify keto, understand what matters (and what really doesn’t), and start seeing progress without feeling overwhelmed.

What Keto Isn’t:

  • It’s not about eating nothing but bacon and cheese.

  • It’s not a quick fix or one-size-fits-all diet.

  • It’s not about being perfect it’s about being consistent.

How We Approach Keto:

  • Flexible. You don’t have to hit macros perfectly to see results.

  • Sustainable. We believe in small wins, not burnout.

  • Practical. If it doesn’t work in real life, we don’t promote it.

Whether your goal is weight loss, more energy, mental clarity, or just feeling in control of your food again keto can help. You just need a clear starting point and the right tools along the way.

And that’s what Creative Keto Living is all about.

Is Keto Right for Me?

Maybe you’ve tried keto before and gave up.
Maybe this is your first time considering it.
Or maybe you’ve watched a hundred videos and still aren’t sure if it’s the right fit.

Here’s the truth: Keto isn’t for everyone—but it might be exactly what you need.

If you’re someone who:

  • Feels stuck in the cycle of starting and stopping diets

  • Wants to lose fat without constantly feeling hungry

  • Struggles with energy crashes or sugar cravings

  • Likes having structure but needs flexibility

  • Wants to feel more in control of your food, body, and habits...

Then yes—keto can work for you.
And it doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.

What We’ve Learned:

Keto isn’t about perfection it’s about consistency.
It’s about understanding your body, eating in a way that supports your goals, and having the tools to stay on track especially when life gets messy.

For us, keto gave us structure when we needed it most. It helped us reset our relationship with food. It gave us energy, mental clarity, and yes fat loss. But it also taught us that you don’t have to follow someone else’s version of keto to succeed.

Where Should I Start If I’m New to Keto?

Starting keto can feel like a lot—we get it.
Between the macros, the food swaps, and the endless opinions online, it’s easy to get stuck before you even begin.

That’s why we created this space: to simplify the first steps.

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to track every bite (unless you want to).
And you don’t need to buy expensive supplements or cook gourmet meals.

What you do need is:

  • A basic understanding of what to eat and what to avoid

  • A few go-to meals and snacks

  • A realistic mindset about the ups and downs

Don’t try to do everything at once.
Pick one or two habits. Make them stick. Then build from there.
Small wins = big momentum.

What Can Make Your Keto Journey Easier?

Keto gets easier when you stop trying to do it all alone.

One of the biggest reasons people quit is because they make it harder than it needs to be—tracking every bite, stressing over every carb, or trying to meal prep like a Michelin chef on day one.

Here’s what made our journey smoother:
A few tools, a few snacks, and a few small habits that kept us from spiraling.

We’re not saying you need a bunch of stuff to succeed.
But the right things can save time, reduce stress, and keep you on track when willpower wears thin.

A Few Things That Actually Helped Us:

🔹 Electrolyte packets – Saved us from the dreaded keto flu and helped with energy during workouts.
🔹 A food scale and portion containers – Helped us learn how to eat without guessing.
🔹 Quick keto snacks – Kept us from reaching for junk when we were on the road or just done with the day.
🔹 A solid meal prep routine – Nothing fancy. Just 2–3 meals we could make in bulk and grab during the week.

We’ve put together a full list of our favorite tools, ingredients, and products on Amazon that we still use today. If it’s on this list, it’s something we’ve actually bought, tested, and kept in our rotation.

Remember:

The right tool at the right time can keep you consistent when motivation dips.
That’s not hype—it’s real life.

Who Are We and Why Did We Start This Blog?

We’re Jason and Demi a couple who found our way to keto through frustration, failure, and a whole lot of trial and error.

Like most people, we didn’t start with perfect macros or a personal trainer. We started with a decision: something had to change. We wanted to feel better, look better, and take control of our health—without overcomplicating everything.

What started as a way to clean up our eating turned into something much bigger:
Keto helped us lose fat, gain energy, build better habits, and strengthen our mindset. It became more than a diet—it became a lifestyle. And the more we learned, the more we wanted to share.

Why We Built This Blog:

We started Creative Keto Living to share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), and to create a space where real people can find real answers—without filters, false promises, or extreme expectations.

We’re still learning. Still evolving.
But every tip, recipe, or story we post comes from experience—not theory.
If it’s on this blog, we’ve lived it.

And if our story helps even one person feel less stuck and more empowered… that’s exactly why we’re here.

How Can I Stay Connected and Get Support?

We know how easy it is to fall off track especially when you’re doing this alone.

That’s why we’re building more than just a blog. We’re building a space for real conversations, helpful resources, and encouragement when you need it most.

If you want:

  • Simple, doable tips delivered to your inbox

  • New recipes and product reviews before they hit the blog
